Skoot and Sun Mobility have commenced pilot operations for Africa’s first electric, swappable battery 3-wheel tuk tuk fleet. The pilot brings to market a new class of clean commercial vehicles designed specifically for last mile delivery and urban transport.

 

The Kenya pilot phase focuses on performance validation, rider earnings, swapping cadence, and operational efficiency. The vehicles leverage Sun Mobility’s Smart Battery Platform and Skoot’s multiservice app for job access, payments, vehicle management, and customer support.
