Skoot today announced that its first-generation Skoot S1 Concept Bike has entered field trials. Designed from the ground up for Africa, the S1 Concept is a foundation for Skoot’s electric mobility strategy.
The trials focus on vehicle durability, telemetry integration, and rider experience. The S1 was developed in partnership with V-Moto. The Skoot App is being developed in parallel to integrate leasing, fleet tools, delivery contracts, and rider rewards.
Skoot and 4R Digital are partnering on the Duka+ Final Mile Delivery and Inventory Finance Programme. It supports small retailers with better access to essential inventory, delivery, and flexible financing. The programme brings together Unilever brands and 4R Digital’s platform, with Skoot’s clean mobility and fulfilment capabilities.
